The Fifth Grade Competition
This is the second story in the Nooraldeen Family Series, entertaining, modern Islamic morality tales for children. The stories focus on Sara and Adam, and their loving parents, Mona and Bassel, and include a variety of other multicultural characters from among friends, family, and community members. The tales teach basic morals through entertaining stories that incorporate modern topics and challenges children face today. The Fifth Grade Competition discusses the importance of living an honest life and how honesty impacts ourselves and others.
Following each story are references from the Quran and Sunnah relating to the moral. Also included are suggested discussion questions to offer parents and religious school teachers ideas on how to use the story as a prompt for open dialogue that allows for children to make personal connections and stimulate thought and learning.
